Facebook Partner Center Experience

Context

Facebook wanted to roll out a new, strategic design vision for their Global Partner Centers in key locations around the world. The design would have to provide important guests with unique, customized experiences that inspire them with Facebook’s audacious vision for the future.

Challenge

Work intimately with Facebook’s marketing, brand design, product, innovation and technology teams to outline a core strategic vision and overarching guest narrative. Translate this framework into high-touch, interactive experience design spaces across varied, global locations.

Experience

Each Partner Center is a large scale, customizable brand experience environment punctuated by interactive installations expressing the company’s mission, culture, products and services. A rich data collection and evaluation system helps analyze the experiences to improve storytelling.

The Gateway

The Fountain

The fountain was designed as the welcome moment for visitors. People are able to connect to the Partner Center community using Facebook Reactions in a fun and interactive way. We built different variations of the Fountain in each location based on existing architecture and entry conditions.


The Globe

The Globe is meant to show the scale of Facebook communities around the world and demonstrate how global insights can help businesses grow. Visitors step into an immersive room with multiple touch screens to explore a map representing Facebook’s reach. The exterior of the Globe is made of CNC ribs of plywood and a powder coated subframe to match each partner center.



Mobile Patterns

Visitors are able to interact with historically significant, cross-cultural patterns through the lens of futuristic technology. We designed 20 different tapestries, representing 20 different regions in EMEA, that appear in higher resolution as people pass through the hallway during the day. Cast resin mobile devices acts as lenses to refract and diffuse the animations, representing the global reach of Facebook’s platform thanks to mobile devices.


Instagram Stories

Interactively express the power of Stories to inspire both people and businesses with creative tools for expression. Visitors use a touch screen plinth to explore the versatility and dynamic custom story making ability on Instagram’s platform. The result is displayed on a 3x3 array, showing your custom story larger than life.


Behind the Scenes

We developed an enclosed immersive room that allows visitors to discover the hardware and software systems that power lightning fast, global communication. The 60 second experience is self-lead once you enter the space, and leads a visitor through the ins and outs of how Facebook is actually brought to your fingertips.

Visualize and celebrate the social good happening on Facebook’s platform.

The culmination to the entire experience, snap a photo in front of our unique and iconic Facebook backdrops. Encourage engagement with Facebook platforms, products and creativity tools to capture and share the Partner Center experience.

Invite visitors to participate in Facebook’s culture and extend the Partner Center experience beyond the visit.
