Facebook Partner Center Experience, Dublin
Context
Dublin serves as the headquarters for Facebook’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East, & Africa) region. They wanted to create an installation that celebrates the diversity and culture that exists in all of these regions while highlighting the devices that bring them all together.
Challenge
The Facebook Dublin office is one of their most diverse offices in the world. The visitor’s who come through the office also truly range from dozens of countries in the EMEA region. We wanted to create an interactive installation that welcomes all visitors, staff, and guests, while creating a unique interaction each time.
Experience
Visitors are able to interact with historically significant, cross-cultural patterns through the lens of modern-day technology. We designed 20 different tapestries, representing 20 different regions in EMEA, that appear in higher resolution as people pass through the hallway during the day. Cast resin mobile devices acts as lenses to refract and diffuse the animations, representing the global reach of Facebook’s platform thanks to mobile devices.
