Nike House of Innovation | Mercurial Speed Trial

Context

The House of Innovation, Paris, wanted to launch the newest Air Zoom Mercurial boot by allowing visitors to try them on in an in-store trial experience.

The goal was to showcase the newest innovation in the line of Mercurial boots, Air, which gives athletes the extra speed and height Nike Air is famous for.

Challenge

With a limited footprint in the store, we were challenged with creating an experience that allows visitors to feel like they’ve entered the locker room, and stepped out on the pitch wearing the Mercurial boots. We were tasked with testing the boot in the areas of speed, agility, and endurance. This in-store speed trial was an exclusive Nike members only experience.

Experience

We created a custom gamified experience that challenges visitors to push their skills to the limit through 3 speed, agility, and endurance trials. As players entered the speed trial, their performance was measured through sensors embedded in the turf, providing us with a accurate data on each player’s performance.
