The following are links that I wanted to share with you all to show what inspires me, makes me happy, gives me a design high, are straight up cool, and serve as an example of the types of design I believe can make a positive impact in our built environment.
Enjoy.

One of my favorite creative companies out there, Breakfast NY, prototyped an amazing machine that turns your instagram pictures into murals made of spools of thread. This was their response to the client's request to create an installation that blended fashion and technology. Absolutely amazing how much testing and research must have gone into this. Check out the videos.

The nerd in my gets so happy/turned on from seeing all of these things. I could go through this post every day. Best one is probably the ad on Craigslist to remove film from plastic, definitely a job I would love to have.

The firm Biber was commissioned to design the USA pavilion at the 2015 EXPO in Milan this year. Without commenting on their questionable final design, I wanted to share an interesting project I came across on their website called 100 Ideas. The series included a bunch of ideas to develop the daily lives of citizens in NYC that range from feasible to completely outrageous. All great ideas, some people have already taken the liberty to implement a few in the city.
Anybody have any more ideas? I'm working on a few as well.

Awesome photographs of my hometown. Make me miss the magical dullness of this spread out, sometimes bleak metropolis. Make sure to watch the video at the bottom, hanging out of that helicopter looks too exhilarating.

I recently listened to a podcast episode of 99% Invisible, by Roman Mars, about the design of American money; why its green, why all the bills are the same size, and how we can improve all of these flaws of our antiquated currency.
How amazing would it be if our money actually looked like this? Beautiful fonts, fantastic graphics, iconic moments, places and people in history, and most importantly of all, extremely functional.
